The American Luxury towels are elegance and American durability, all woven into a beautiful towel. We use extra-long American Pima cotton fibers to make our towels elegantly soft and incredibly thirsty. American Elegance towels are thick (700 GSM), soft, and absorbent, and they will last for years to come. We double-stitch the hems to make sure the towels will not unravel unexpectedly. Caring for your American Made Ring-Spun Bath Towels

Always wash and dry your bath towels before using them for the first time. Most new towels are coated with silicone or other finishes that block absorbency. This coating gives them that extra-fluffy look and feel at the store. Washing new towels will remove these finishes and permit maximum absorbency. You may even have to wash your towels two times. It's perfectly okay and normal. Your new towels will definitely get softer, more absorbent, and less linty after a few washes. Also, note that all of our towels dry quickly and are ideal for all climates. Heavier towels tend to get musty or mildewed. If you find your towels are starting to smell sour or funny, we do have some tips for you in our care guide

As much as you can, avoid facial cleansers, and toothpaste that contain Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy acids, or Hydrogen Peroxide as these can cause color changes on the towel.

Now you know – well-made ring-spun cotton towels are pure luxury. They’re highly durable so they can withstand repeated washing and drying. Still, our additional towel care tips offer a few valuable pointers to make sure your towels just keep going and going…

Update on Towel Care

We've taken the time to monitor the absorbency of all our American-made towels from the first wash to the point of maximum absorbency and softness. Our tests show that your towel should reach its optimal absorbency after four washes, using either one laundry pod per regular wash or the recommended amount of liquid or powdered laundry detergent. Just like your favorite pair of jeans or t-shirt, your cotton towels will continue to get softer with time. Enjoy your American-made towels!

American Towels LLC

All of our towels are made in America. From the point that the cottonseed is put into the soil at the farm, your towels and the materials used are from the United States. We have nothing against imported towels or imported cotton. There is a need for global manufacturing. However, we also know that people like you (and us), want to buy locally, whenever we can. Whether your preference is a soft, luxury spa towel or a classic super absorbent ring-spun towel, or if you prefer organic cotton, we have you covered, and you can be sure that it is American Made.

Beginnings

American Towels was started in 2020 with the goal of doing what we could do to support American manufacturing, jobs, and workers. With Covid-19 decimating our economy and feeling like our reliance on China and other large "supplier" countries is unsustainable, it made sense for us to focus on what we can do to keep our economy as much as possible, on our own shores. We know a lot about bath towels, and we are big fans of one of the last textile mills operating in the USA, 1888 Mills in Griffin, Georgia. They make some of the best bath towels on the market and it's a bonus that they are also made in the United States. With 1888's  partnership, we can offer you, the best quality bath towels made in the USA.

Where we get our towels

We proudly get the bath towels that we sell from 1888 Mills in Griffin Georgia; one of the only terry cloth mills left in the United States and the only mill that makes American made ring-spun *and* American Organic towels of which we carry both.

West Coast Shipping

We have had a number of questions from our customers why the towels are made in Georgia but we ship from California. Simply, our home and our warehouse is in California. As we grow, we will open a central fulfillment location in the South and Midwest to more economically fulfill our customer's orders on the mid to eastern side of the country.

Made in America

Made in America to us, stands for quality, good jobs, and honest work. We are proud to be able to offer these quality USA products to you.

We truly value your patronage and thank you for your support.
